Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Medical Sciences & Welfare Society, Ratia (Estd.2005) is a charitable organization situated at village Aherwan. The geocordinate of the village are Latitude 29.6076181 and Longitude 75.543911100001 and it is 13.4 km away from Fatehabad and 6Km from Ratia. The Society is committed to the cause of providing and promoting higher education in multifarious disciplines of Humanities, Science and Education to the populace of Fatehabad district and surrounding areas. Motivated by the noble desire of equipping the educated youth of the region professionally and activated by the societal needs of the future.
The Society runs five year courses i.e. SBDS School of Nursing (GNM) , M.P.H.W (female), SBDS college of Nursing (B.Sc and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing) and the fifth one the latest feather in the cap of SBDS Society is the SBDS college of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (providing two year VLDD diploma).

The college has learned faculty, well equipped labs and an attached animal farm. The institute also runs a veterinary clinics for the benefits of the farmers / Animals owners of the surrounding villages and this also cater the needs of clinical practice of the trainee students. Special emphasis is given for overall development of students e.g. participation in debates/ writing competitions and sports.
